Joan Anderson is an award-winning painter and workshop instructor.
Artist's Statement
My work is predominately figure or animal. I believe my work is more than a sweet sentiment as I enjoy the layering of color over color and texture over texture. My aim in a painting is to appeal to the viewer and then draw them into the piece to enjoy all the nuisances and hidden meanings of the work.
