The Grand Junction Downtown Development Authority is the organizing force behind downtown events and promotion, urban renewal and redevelopment, and many other downtown improvements and renovations. 

Major activities include the Art on the Corner sculpure exhibit, the annual Art & Jazz Festival, Thursday night Farmer's Markets in summer and fall, parades, and the annual Car Show.

The Downtown Partnership consists of the Downtown Association (a merchant membership organization), the Downtown Development Authority, and the downtown Business Improvement District.
