Biography & Artist's Statements

Brad Barnett is a self-taught artist, who has recently relocated to Glade Park, Colorado. After growing up in northern Indiana, he moved west to attend college at the University of Montana, earning a degree in wildlife biology. His oil paintings reflect his Midwest upbringing and his love for the west. His work has been shown at the Montana Festival of the Arts juried shows, The Grand Galleria National Art Competition in Seattle, The Hockaday Center Montana Council for the Arts Annual Show, The Wind River Valley National Art Exhibit, The Rock Springs National Art Exhibit, the Spokane Annual Art Exhibition at Cheney-Cowles Memorial Museum, and Western Colorado Center for the Arts Members Show. He was featured in the "Colorado Artists" section in the May, 2014, issue of Southwest Art.Each of Brad's works includes a collection of elements that provides an instant personal connection for viewers. As his friend and art colleague, Penny French Deal notes, "Brad's work has such detail and he has such a talent for storytelling."
