Biography & Artist's Statements

Bud is a self-taught artist whose representational oils focus principally on western subjects and historical themes, including landscapes, wildlife and figuratives.  His paintings have been juried into local and national exhibits, among which are the Grand National Stock Show, San Francisco, CA., Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum Art Show, Cheyenne, WY, Phippen Museum Western Art Show, Prescott, AZ, and Arts for the Parks, Jackson, WY, where they were selected in several "Mini 100" and "Top 200" award categories.

"This is the Way," a quarter-life size bronze of famed western explorers Lewis & Clark, is Bud's first sculpture, and is currently on public display in the main terminal building at Grand Junction Regional Airport.
