Biography & Artist's Statements

I have been into photography for over 50 years. I have grown to love and respect the great outdoors. I love to photograph it. I have been named the Photographer of the Year four years in a row when I was a member of Thunder Mountain Camera Club. I have taught all levels of photography for the last 15 years. I no longer teach classes but conduct one-on-one tutorials to teach basic and advanced photography, especially composition or "How to take winning photographs". I have authored 5 hiking books for the Colorado Mountain Club Press. Three of the pack guides are now for sale and they are: The Best Grand Junction Hikes, The Best Telluride Hikes and the Best Aspen Hikes. The Best Moab and Arches National Park Hikes will be available by March 15th and the last one. The best Canyonlands National Park Hikes will be available early fall 2015.
